Blowing off the rocks
Thanks for your time -
I've been battling hair algae. I'd like to take a powerhead and blow off the rocks. My concern is I'm not going to be able to catch all of the loose debris. Could it make matters worse? |

It's unlikely that it would make matters worse. It's also unlikely that just the current from a powerhead would get the hair algae off the rockwork in the tank. Try using a toothbrush, or a plastic bristle brush that are sold fro cleaning in kitchens.

I rescently cleaned off my Rock in a Rubbermaid tote filled with SW heated with circulating powerhead. Scrubbed with brush. I use the tote for curing LR
