best reference book
i was wondering what everyone recommends as the best reference and informational tool for this reef keeping hobbie??? I was needing some more reading material and the local bookstore has SFA reef keeping books but said if i can produce a ISBN ( some unique identification number for a book ) they can order it in.
I need a book that has full species details and info on habits and lighting needs for corals and fish. Just something to help me pick contents and run my tank properly. |

For corals, I really like
Aquarium Corals Selection, Husbandry, and Natural History by Eric Borneman For fish - I really like any of Scott Michael's books - either the condensed guide or the `reef fishes' series [unfinished]. I'm sure Amazon has the ISBN For inverts - I do like the Fenner/Calfo Reef Invertebrates book ... but I also have some issues with that book too. Overall - if a `reef' tank, then I'd get the first one for sure. IMO, don't buy a coral without consulting it.
