I have been searching for a canopy as well and found that Big Al's has the best price for a plan canopy. It's not fancy but it works. These canopies contain tempered glass. Will you leave the glass in when you install your retro lighting?

I am looking for a standard 55 gal canopy. 48L X 13W (I think). I am planning a lighting upgrade in the future and thought that having a canopy would give me some flexibility regarding retro kits. I have been debating about including the glass in the canopy to reduce evaporation. I have been reading the negatives regarding glass canopies (heat & gas exchange issues) and wasn't sure what other people were doing with the glass in their wood canopies.
