Exterior Halide fixtures on reef tank
Has anyone tried using an outdoor fixture maybee as a pendent on a reef tank? I know that I would have to use a different bulbs, but I have about ten of these with internal ballasts and they can be used with 110 outlets and I would like to use them. Can anyone think of any drawbacks so long as they are wired properly? I have attached a pic of a similar fixture. Any ideas are welcome.

should work like other ballasts in that respect the only drawback (maybe) would be the spread you would get from the reflector.
also make sure they are halide and not High Pressure Sodium ballasts.
