I had the AquaC Remora Pro on my 58g. I liked it, and it wasn't too badly priced as far as skimmers go.

For a 37g, even the regular Remora would probably be good.

I am running a Remora Pro with a Mag 5 on my 65. Great skimmer, needs little adjustment and produces a good foam. I strongly suggest a Mag 3 or 5 with it.

One word of caution since everyone seems to love those skimmers and are recommending them. My Remora Pro put a ton of microbubbles in my tank. And the ugly pump takes up a ton of room inside your tank. Also a lot of them come with rio pumps you definitely want to stay away from them. I ran a remora pro with a mag 3 on my 38 gallon.

for the record I hated the skimmer for the reasons listed above.

I replaced it with a sump and a ASM G3 with recirc and gate valve mods.

If I had to use a HOB skimmer my money would go on a deltec even though they are pricey. It would have been cheaper for me to go with the deltec than to add the sump and ASM.

My next skimmer will be a deltec unless something better hits the market.

If it's on a sump, no problem But, I agree, on a display tank it is quite a distraction. For a beginner skimmer, it is pretty good, though.

I never had any problems with microbubbles with mine. I agree, stay away from the Rio.
