If you do not have a reef tank you can try rid ich it is sold in many stores and is the only medication that i'v gotten to work with out killing the fish. If you have a reef you can try using garlic supliments a salt water specalty store should have them. good luck

If you have to treat in the main tank you could also try a cleaner shrimp, they're pretty helpful. The shrimp might take time to settle in and start cleaning but once he's 'on duty' it will give your fish a much better chance IMO.

Rid-Ich can be used with invertabrates and live rock. If you are concerned that the fish might die, you can overdose medication by 3X to treat the ich.
