BTA Crashed in my Tank - Help!
My tank is a 6month old 72 gal. I have 2 x 150w 10k MH and 2 x 55w T5 Actinics. I bought a BTA about 2 weeks ago and all was going well until about a couple of days ago, when the anemone looked as though it was going to crash. I kept an eye on it and it was on the brink so to save poluting the display I slowly moved it and the live rock it was attached to into my QT tank. The anemone has now crashed and poluted the quarantine. I've obviously had an ammonia spike in there, which is ok as there is nothing in there now. I'm leaving it to go through the cycle, and I don't think the ammonia or nitrites are that high. My question is, what sort of polutants has it put in the water, and will the live rock be ok to put back into the display as it's quite a large piece. Should I do lots of water changes, or leave it to run it's course?
I'll thank you in advance for your comments, all help appreciated.

A water change a week and it should be fine. Sea anemones don't release any toxins that i know of so water changes should do the trick.

Swish the rock around in your waterchange water before you place it in your tank; its probably not necessary, but could be a preventive measure.
BTW, an anemone in a 6 month old tank is not a great idea, wait till the tank is 1 year old before trying another.

Thanks
Thanks for the quick replies, just thought I'd check before sticking it back into the display. As for the anemones, I think I've swore off them for life now, corals for me... Those things are best left in the sea, plus I'm not keen on the fact that they move where they like, and possibly next to all your prized possessions
