Question A couple specific questions about fans

What do you guys think about these:

http://www.pctoys.com/840556001058.html

And why is this one so much cheaper? Specs look the same:

http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-b..._W_SCREEN_.html

If it's about "you get what you pay for" I'll be happy to get the pricier ones. But if they both crap out after a year, I'll just get the cheaper ones.

Also, where do I get the connectors like the icecap fans have? You know, the plug and socket connecting the DC fan to the AC adapter? I'd look it up on google myself, but I don't even know what they are called.

Thanks for any help.

Not too bad for $5. Read the reviews on the site.
I just think that the Panasonic fan is just priced high on that site.

50,000 hours seems like average, so I'm OK with that. Any suggestions on where to get the little connector plugs and AC adaptor? I know you're supposed to get one rated for twice the amps listed on the fan, is this correct? Sorry, I am not electrically inclined

Just so you know 49db is pretty loud for a fan.

Try OA172AN-22-2TB @ Orionfans.com.

A little more money, but they run on 120v and mine have ran perfectly for over three years. Mine are the 119 series.

Actually, those orions at 130CFM are at 46db, so they're pretty much equal. Thanks for the info though. At 5 bucks a pop for the ones I got, no worries if I do have to replace them more than every three years.

These ones are 170cfm @ 35db

They didn't have these ones when I got mine. I use the 74cfm 28db.

uh oh, now we're up to $38 each. I ordered 2 fans, two transformers, and connectors for $20. We'll see how they do....if they crap out in 6 months, I'll switch to orions. Thanks for all the help.
