scraping algae off glass-add to calc?

if you scrape alot of algae of the aquarium's glass, does it spike the calc content in the water? anything else to be concerned when doing this?

It wouldn't spike the calcium content to point that a measurable amount would be detected. Most of it will show up in your filter pads, socks.
