Protein Skimmer recommendations
I'm in the process of putting together a 55gallon display with 20 gallon sump. I'd like to add a protein skimmer-- what do you recommend and why?

ASM, they are the best value for the money. If you want to spend more buy a Deltec. Both are needle wheel skimmers, inexpensive to run. The asm is way less expensive, and your best choice unless you are a rich student.

ASM are nice skimmers. They're fairly expensive. At the low end, the Euro-Reef is nice and not out of sight in price. You could also look at the CoraLife SuperSkimmers. The one I have seems reasonably constructed.

Always been very satisfied with the AquaC's. I love the spray injection. Used several models including the Remora, Remora Pro, and EV120. Currently using an EV180.
