IceCap ~~ URI

I have had an IceCap 660 for years until today. My 1-1/2 yr old daughter tugged on a wire or something and the ballast smells like itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s burned up. I checked all connections, changed out the bulbs and no luck. The ballast will not fire up.

Anyway Ã¢â‚¬Â¦ IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve been seeking out a new 660 when I stumbled upon a URI made by IceCap.

Are these identical? If I found a 660 equivalent would I be able to plug my harness into it? The harness plug appears to be identical, I sure donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t know about the wiring diagram.

I'm geting buggy scanning the web. I tried finding the URI website ~ no luck. I NEED A BALLAST. Any suggestions, links, 660 equivalent etc... would be excellent and greatly appreciated.

You might try posting this in the IceCap forum. A number of IceCap employees monitor that forum and I would hope they could answer your questions.

Good point, I didn't even know that there was an IceCap forum on Reef Central. I guess I don't ever page down that far.

Thank you very much ~ it was only like 3 min since I read your post. If you hadn't directed me to that IceCap forum I might of bought a new ballast.

It was just the FUSE! I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't read a couple of threads there. I don't know why I didn't see the fuse.

No problem. I like browsing around the vendor forums once in a while. They're a good place to get information straight from the people that make the products, rather than going with someone elses opinion or second hand knowledge.
