UV Sterilizers for SPS Tanks - Pros & Cons

How many of you guys are using UV sterilizers on your tanks? I know the benefits they have for keeping fish healthy, but are there any downsides to them? Do they kill off too many of the helpful bacteria, etc. for sps growth and development?

They kill bacteria, good and bad.

Lost of people run them very successfully, lots of people hate them.
