Cheap way to lower temps.

Went to Wally World today to get a clip on fan to place in my sump because of temps starting to rise. Mild outside and no AC going yet in the house made temps go up to 84. I have always had higher than normal temps (81-84) because of not having a chiller and only having a little computer fan blowing across the canopy when the halides are on. So off to the store we went. After browsing in the fans I came across a small 10" box fan. Not really what I intended to purchase as I was wanting a clip on, but after getting home with it, I found that it is literally perfect. It's size and shape makes it perfect to lay on top of my sump where the return water is held with the fan blowing down on top of the water. Very thin for a box fan and made entirely of plastic. Temps went from 82 with the halides on to 79 when they turned off a few hours later. I have the heaters set to kick on at 78 so I won't get too big of a temp swing. Tomorrow I will see what the temps get to with the halides on so I will know what temp it seems to hold the water at as the water was already warm when I got it going today. So if you are looking for a way to help with the temps, this little box fan is made by o2 Cool and is sold at Wal Mart for $13. Box has it labeled as a 10" battery operated indoor/outdoor fan. Really quiet I might also mention.
I plan on making a tray for it to lay in on top of the sump just for extra protection to keep it from falling in.
