Foam under tank?
Well, I got my tank today!!!! It's a 125 gallon with two MegaFlow overflows. Anyway, the shelf for it is being built tomorrow. I'm a little worried about the shelf not being perfectly level but I recall some people on here said they use foam under the aquarium. I have a big piece of carpet padding that's a half inch thick and was wondering if it would be acceptable to use. If it's not what type of foam can be used?

Congrats! I have the same tank, which has been up for about two months. Foam is debatable on a glass tank -- the weight is all carried on the edges and adding something pushing up on the bottom glass (while the edges push down, and hard) may or may not be a problem. On the other hand, it could potentially even out imperfections in your stand (or shelf?). Then again, the weight of a tank might even out imperfections in the stand on it's own as long as they're not too extreme. I personally didn't use foam under mine, but my stand is very close to perfectly level.
