question about live rock and salt water mix
My live rock cured a lot faster than I thought and will be ready today.
I'll only have about 3 hours to mix the water and aerate it with a powerhead (I do have RO/DI water ready though). Will this be a problem? - that is, if it will be okay to put the rock in without the normaly 24 hours... |

Nope, no problem Dan. As long as it is fully dissolved, the correct pH and up to temperature it is fine. With LR it is not as important as when you have livestock in the tank. Even in established tanks some people add fresh saltmix as soon as it dissolves. You can always add a heater to the RO water to speed this up.

Ok great. It's mixing now, and two heaters are in there to make it heat up faster.
Thanks for your help!

Ok I have a few powerheads - about 1600 gph and two 100w heaters.
Wish me luck! Or let me know if this is bad.
