I am ready to order a new rr tank and am looking at the all glass which comes stock with two megaflow overflows.
Two overflows in that tank take up a lot of space. All glass will take special orders, would one megaflow be sufficient for that tank? Any idea how much extra they charge for special ordered tanks? The email that I got back from all glass just said I could order the tank any way, including with the old style corner overflows, but didn't give pricing. Thanks Jeff |

All Glass's special orders tend to be very pricey

you should verify what a "special order" is. they told me that they do NOT do "custom" orders.
now, what they could mean by special order, is getting the 120g in one of their 2 rr configurations. one is the standard with the overflows off center, and the other is with them in the corners. when choosing which one to go with, i would consider where it will be placed. if the sides are going to be in the open, the corner overflows will soon become an eyesore. although large, the two off center overflows can be easily aquascaped around and still have the depth in the center going all the way back to the wall. id prefer this instead of a center. the beauty of the 24" deep tanks is the visual depth they give, a sense of a "chunk" of the reef. with a centered overflow, too much is lost with the space for it and the space needed to stack rock to cover it, making it look much more shallow defeating the purpose of getting the deeper tank to begin with. however, there are aquascaping work arounds as well. they just need to be far more creative. please find out what they mean by "special order", and "custom". ask if they will pre-drill a tank for you. if they do, this is a recent development. and get some prices! ![]() good luck

Thanks for the information. This is the response I got from all glass.
"You can order a customized aquarium with your own specifications. You need to contact you local pet store and place an order with them. They will place the order with their distributor, and then place the order with us. The process time when we receive the order will take us two weeks, total time 3 to 4 weeks depending on your pet store. " In my email to all glass I asked if I could order a 120 RR tank with the corner overflows rather then the magaflows. Jeff |

wow, they need some quality control with their staff training.
in december 2005 (3 months aga), My query: Suject: Custom Aquarium "I am looking for information regarding the possibility of ordering a custom aquarium." AGA response: "Hello- I'm sorry we do not custom build. Please try Oceanic @1-800-554-6229 or www.oceanicsystems.com. Thank-you for your time and interest in our products. Central Aquatics" go figure. however, ordering one with corner overflows is not really custom. it is actually listed on their product catalog. similar to oceanics 90 cube. its a "standard custom". im still curious what they would want for a pre drilled tank. if you find out, let us know.
