dead snails
just opened a new pail of Kent salt last week and made a new batch of water, did a water change on sat as I have many times before, yesterday most of my snails are on the bottom upside down, flame scallop not looking to good, today all snail are dead,flame scallop is a empty shell , every test I have seems good
Any help would be a great help Ph 8.2 no2 0 no3 0 amm 0 phos 0 sil 0 cal 420 alk 12 temp 79

Ouch! Did you test SG? A sudden SG change can be pretty hard on snails, I think. You might just have a bad batch of salt. There have been some issues with low alkalinity, but nothing that would kill snails like that.

sorry SG was 1.024 same as always
just heard something about a recall of Kent salt ?? anyone hear about this ?
