Does everyone have FLATWORMS?
I'm trying to find live rock for my new tank, but now two setups being offered locally have had flatworms. I had them in my 65g and they are a real pain! Does everyone have these now, or am I just getting lucky to find people who do?
BTW, the only thing that worked in my 65g was addition of a leopard wrasse and mandarinfish. Not sure who did what, but I think it was the wrasse. If you have flatworms, and a large enough tank and sandbed to support one of these, you might want to consider the addition. -A

The professor watched the overflowing cup until he could no longer restrain himself. “It’s overfull! No more will go in!” the professor blurted. “You are like this cup,” the master replied, “How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup.” Current Tank Info: 56g, 20g. |

I have been extremely lucky, I have never had any flatworms in all my years, of reefing cept for the harmless whitish ones when you first set up a system...quickly knocking on wood and invoking wood fairies to continue to keep pesty flatworms away from my reef

I freshwater soak all LR before I put it in my tank
I had a 100 lbs from a guy who had flatworms The rock was "dead" anyways = white So I didn't feel bad Better to dip everything before it goes in your tank You would be amazed maybe at what you can find for hitchhikers |

I've got flatworms, clear and brown/red. They aren't a problem, their numbers declined on their own. I always tell people when I sell livestock.

I have NONE. I quarantine all my rock and corals in flatworm exit before they go into my main tank. OHH and I'll admit, I'm lucky too that none slipped by on me either.

I had them for a while but they went away on their own over several months in both of my salt water tanks without anything I did.

Exactly kysmith. I have a ton of benign flatworms which don't bother anything.
