Talking jurnal- 55g w/ overflows.out with the old and in with the new!

well ive had a reef tank since 2000 and all ive had for filtration was a penguan 330. and a small skimmer. but now im getting rid of the old 55g plexi and putting in the new 55g glass w/ over flows. its going to be a slow process because im 15 and im really short on cash. so heres my old set up.

its all scratched and nasty, it looks better now because its cleaner and has new land scaping.
the new tank

its going to be slow. im hopfully getting my bulkheads this thurs. and today im going to dolphin pet in san jose and i have a gift certificut.

my sump is a 35g tub, and a mag 5 return, a mag 9.5 on the closed loop, 5 t-5s from helios. (i have the normal ones now but getting the HO soon) that are 28w each w/ built in reflectors, and hopefully a diy big skimmer.

ill keep u posted.

well im gonna say that im jelouse becasue i wanted a 55 with corner overflows so bad but couldnt find one to save my life so i had to get one with the overflow almost in the middle. i have a 55 and its going pretty well but also has had its down falls. but it sounds like you need to do what i did and get a job at the local fish store so you can pay for your tank...and get discounts on stuff
