Tank Drilling Question

I have a 55 Gallon tank that I want to have drilled but it has a tempered bottom. My question is could I drill the back of the tank and get a durso stand pipe but just modify if a little bit? Has anyone done this or something similar? Let me know.

Do a search on Calfo overflows! There are a lot of them in the DIY section too!!

Yes you can do a durso through the back glass. The bulkhead only adds a little distance on the front of the Durso, otherwise the concept is the same.

I'm not sure if a horizontal or corner overflow is better for me.

Well, drilling through the back glass allows you to place the Durso higher up so you could do a small overflow that does not extend to the bottom of the tank. I did my overflow centered on the back so that the rock stack hides it and the tank seems more balanced.
