Help, My leather is Melting?
I'm new to this board, but I've been reef keeping for a bout a year. Anyway I recently added some livestock to my tank, and right after noticed the following problem with my Leather coral.
see pic- I've seen it peel off layers before, but this looks much worse. Some of the branches are falling off. Here is a list of things that have changed over the last week. Here is the livestock list I added. 1 cleaner 1 peppermint 1 firefish (which I know comes from a copper system) and some of his water mixed with mine I added some "Phosban Eliminator made by Salifert" which I've used before with no problem. I removed my bag of carbon that I had in the tank for 2 weeks. My tank specs are: 55 Gal 390Watts of PC lighting HOTB CPR Skimmer Dose B-Ionic Every other Day Feeding: Every other day Brine & Veggi mix Water Parameters Nitrate: 0 PH 8.2 CA 360 Full tank shot: Please any help would be great. Thanks, Tom (vayder1) |

I have a question that is similar to yours. I have two leathers that will look great part of the day and then they will wither and slump over. I am confused over this.
