Aquamend Question??

Hey can you take a rock, put a portion of aquamend onto the rock and then place your acropora into the aquamend? Or does the acro need to be glued to a small rock first.

Basically will the aquamen hurt acro's if directly applied?

Thanks.

The method I prefer is: superglue gel to the frag, superglue gel to the rock, aquamend in between. The glue makes it stick, the aquamend holds it into place.

Some are saying that the heat from the 2-part will cook the live animals. I'm not buying into that. I have used this method with hundreds of frags. I do believe that it is safer to use just a dab of gel and nothing else- just enough for snails not to knock it off while it encrusts.

I use a combo of the two. I make a little hole in the epoxy and put a drop of SG gel in it, then squeeze it closed around the frag. Works good for me.
