flukes: general question

Does anyone know how long a tank needs to run fishless (only sand, LR and snails) to be rid of flukes? It has been a month or so, but I would like to feel confident in their absence before putting the rock equipment to use in another tank.

I have been told 2 months. Though I guess it depends on flukes reproduction cycle. Some reproduce directly on the fish while others drop off. I am having an issue with them myself. The only ones effected in my tank were 2 Tangs
