How do you care for a brain coral?
Just got a nice brain coral from www.elitereef.com. How do you care for a brain? Do they like high light or low light?

They are easier to care for. Mine is in direct MH light at the bottom of my tank on the sand and does fine. I feed it Mysis and Brine shrimp a few times a week when the feeding tenticles are out at night. That's about it.

What type of brain is it? The structure of the skeleton will determine it's requirements.

I believe it was a Trachyphyllia you ordered from us
 Usually, placement on the bottom in the sandbed is best. these corals are kept under a variety of lighting conditions, from low to high lighting. Just make sure and adjust to the light accordingly. Maybe try and feed a small piece of squid or shrimp once a week, or so as far as feeding goes. matt
