Pretty much. What kind of lights are you keeping it under? And how high of a flow area?

the lights are 120watt powerstrip 10k, and i have a decent flow running through the entire thing. at the lfs the crazy thing is, i've seen it growing UNDER rocks where there is little or no water flow and light.

We "harvest" (pluck it out with tweezers and throw it away) ours once every couple of months, b/c it grows like mad! We don't use chemicals, so I have no idea what else you'd use to keep it in check.

Like RLMainers said, physically separate them from the rock they are on. Then you have a couple of choices. 1) You can just throw them away as stated or 2) You could try to sell them to other people in the selling forums or the LFS.
Good luck!

i started selling them to the lfs in my town, just find out when they are getting in live rock and get the rubble from them, then place a peice of the rubble (about a peice the size of a quarter) right on the trunk or stalk of the xenia so it will irritate it and within a couple of days it will attach itself to the live rock peice, then you just take a razor blade and cut it away from the base rock ( most of the time they will move the entire stalk by themselves) and poof, you got 15-20 bucks from the lfs
