Feeding Corals...
I'm about to move and recently tore down my 90 gal fish only tank, and am trying to figure out how I'm going to set it up once I get to OKC (gotta love the AF).
I had a 25 gal reef tank that did great with minimal inputs from me, I fed the few tiny fish and the corals did great on their own. In my 90 however, everything slowly died, and I eventually figured out that expecting them to eat basic fish food wasn't cutting it. So, but basic question, is how often/what kind of techniques are there for feeding corals? Thanks. |

That thread has the basics for a coral food recipe and information on feeding.

A couple times a week I take a turkey baster... fill up the ball with saltwater. Drop in one drop of phtyoplex, a pump of frozen cyclopeze, and some frozen mysid shrimp. Shake it up, turn off th pump and then target feed the corals until I run out with the turkey baster.
