Question over skiming

Howdy ya'll
first of all, sorry if i stuck this in the wrong forum, it may belong in the filtration forum.. anyhoo
lets just say a certain reefer stuck a protein skimmer that would ideally be used to handle a tank around the 150 gal mark on a 50 gal system. what would happen? would it be bad?
as always, the knowledge of a more experienced reefer would be appreciated

It depends on your tank demands fellow reefers.
If you are keeping SPS ultra skimmed water is a must.
If you are keeping certain softies and Macro, you might not want to over skim.
You will get a thousand different opinions on this.
If you want just raise your collection cup or cut down on the input to your skimmer to tweak it.
Good Luck!

I think it's fine.
Honestly I wouldn't put a 220 on a tank bigger than a 150
I think you're good to go for daily feedings on a moderately to heavy stocked tank
It's not like that pump changes your flow that much IMO
Love my CSS220
