Question Grey cattle troughs? For keeping frags and mother colonys

Hello all,

I figured this is the best place to ask some questions on implementing A" I believe 150 gallon water trough" for corals.

My first question is remedial but I will ask anyways I was surfing the web the other nite and seen a system such as this,It looked like to me the eggcrate was elevated abuve the live rock and live sand so everything was self contaned,is this feesible I have no problems with dircect r.o. It will have a drain pipe just feet away.?

Second question what size sump would you use on this system,Mostly gonna be softies and lps.?

3 question I have a I believe a 250 gallon trough I could use as the main system and have the 150 as a sump.

This is just a awesome hobby it is my stress relief but am constantly filling my tanks with frags and it get to clutterd looking per wife
so this is a project I been thinking about 7 months now I have all the equiptment I need just wondering what some of you would recommend,Thanks in advance Anthony
