Coral growth

My xenia elongata and my green star polyp are both growing very quickly. Unfortunately they are growing toward each other. I know that they are both considered non-agressive corals so I doubt either would kill the other. I was wondering will the both just stop growing in that direction or will one start growing on top of the other one.

No they wont stop growing toward eachother, the greeen star polyps could grow onto the Xenia, but If that starts to happen the Xenia will most likely move.
