replacing crap jbj ballast (12g nanocube)
Another cf ballast for my jbj 12g nanocube crapped out. (my third one, and the ONLY reason I replaced jbj with jbj the second time was because my boss bought it for me). So anyway, the nanocube is a piece of junk, but its established with a clownfish pair so I need to replace the ballast.
Which brings me to my question: Any suggestions on where to get a new ballast, and what brands actually work and won't burn out after 6 months to a year? I believe its a 28 watt ballast, I don't THINK a 36 watt bulb will fit, which is a pita because it appears that 28 watt cf isn't that common.. |

I got a replacement from here:
www.nanotuners.com you have a 24W ballast; get the Fulham Pony 126 under the Ballasts tag. One thing, you'll have to mount it remotely (i.e., not in the hood), but that's probably why the ballasts keep burning out anyway - heat and humidity. |
