Best Lights for a 75g - 48"L

I have 2 x 250w MH and 2 x VHO 110w each. The summer is coming and those MH keeps the canopy very hot. The fans barely keeps the temp within tolerably range.
I was thinking of switching to T5s only.
- Will this help reduce the heat?
- Will the T5 look just as nice? If yes, what combination?
- Can I use my VHO ballast to power the T5s?

I have mainly softies; I do have 2 fog spawn, 2 x candy cane and 1 Monty.

Quick question for you; are the fans only in the canopy? If you have a sump you can put a clip on fan over that, you would be surprised how well they work.

Thanks for the tip.
I may have to do that this summer. However I have two fans in the canopy now and i really didn't want to add anymore noise to my setup. If the T5 won't make a different in the temp, I may go with VHOs only for a total of 6 = 660w and remove the MHs
