I am thinking of purchasing some carpet coral but dont know anything about it. What kind of lighting does it need? How big does it get ? whats a good price for a peace size of a tennis ball? Anybody know where there are some good pictures of one so i can see?

there are so many different names for chorals these days, its hard to know what you mean. i think your talking about zoo's, in which case it depends what kind you want to get. the larger polyped ones that are the really pretty bright greens and pinks need quite intense light, no less than MH or powerfull PC's, but the smaller polyped ones that are more browny and red (and also grow allot faster under the right conditions) dont really need asmuch light and would probably do ok under flourescents. For a tennis ball sized frag covered with polyps i would expect to pay arounf $50-65,, perhaps more, but no more than $80. keep in mind, they will grow.

Is it the one in the middle? Looks like a devils finger or colt coral to me.

Cladiella, Alcyonium or Sinularia sp.
Carpet leather is it's common name. Can handle bright lights, but more commonly found in medium lighting. It is fairly aggressive in it's growth and posture. Don't let it touch other corals.
