MH photoperiod
I have a shallow clam/sps tank and have recently installed 2 250 W MH lamps and 2 95W actinic VHO bulbs in a fixture above my tank. My tank is only 12" deep, 36X12X25. One bulb is 20000k one is 10000k. I'm wondering what photoperiod to use for my lights, and how high above the tank the lights should be. I have been running just the 20000k light for 7 hours and the actinics for 11 for a few months now, but just installed the new 10000k lamp.

i run mine for abou 7 hours and mine is a 10000k, but my tank is 20" deep and my MH is only a 150watt. I would cut it down to start out with, make sure your corals get used to it.
