Reef Optix III Plus.....male plug

I'm just wondering what people did with the plug that this unit comes with. I know you can get an adapter that just turns it into 3 wires........but i'm thinking about just chopping the plug off and hard wiring it to the ballast....What did you do?

I bought a female ballast

They are now officially a mating pair!
