Needing an opinion on tank style

I've got a 29 gallon FOWLR that I'm about to start stocking corals in. I'm getting ready to build a stand and canopy and then got to thinking. Do I want to keep the 29 gallon or upgrade to a more 'show style' tank or something that would be better for the corals?

This tank will be going in my living room. I want it to be attractive and fit in with the rest of the room. I've been thinking about a bowfront aquarium or perhaps a cube aquarium.

It doesn't need to be over 45 inches in length. Preferably nothing more than 40 inches. Can anyone help me find the perfect aquarium gallon wise to fit this space? Also, the taller the better, because I know corals thrive at different locations in the aquarium. It needs to be small enough though so that my 36" 192 watt aqualight will fit above it.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks.

Zac

That sounds really nice. What is the going price on one of those? Expensive? That sounds like the perfect replacement for my 29 gallon. Fit's within the space, too. I think my wife will be happy. That's a whole lot better than the 46 gallon bowfront I had picked out. Where do you buy a 58 gallon oceanic? Is it a common aquarium? Is it glass or acrylic?

I was just in Chicago 3 weeks ago. LoL! Sounds nice.

The dimensions are more than I could have asked for. I love the 18 inch wide tanks. It's only 18 inches wide at it's farthest point, right? So it's still able to fit in most places. From what I gathered, it's 36x18x21. Great size for a tank. Just need to find a cabinet for the thing. That's probably going to be the hardest part. By then though I will probably have enough live rock to filter something twice that size. Would allow me to stock a lot of different fish and corals. Less maintenance and everything. Thanks for the tip! I would have never thought about that size tank.

How much did you pay for yours?

its been at least 8 years, around $300-400 for tank and stand. the 18 inches wide is nice for rockscaping, of course 24 wide is nicer....

I e-mailed the store about the 58 gallon, and they said they had a 65 gallon reef ready for less. I may end up going with that.
