filter feeder id -- no pics
My tank has manmade rocks with no live rock yet, but I must have got a hitchhiker off a snail or something. The first one looked like a glob of mucus. About .5 inches high around.25 diam, thicker at the bottom and a hole on top. Then it grew 6 "tendrils" out the bottom that have feelers coming out of holes in the end of them. That was the way it stayed for about a month. It didn't bother anything (other than creeping my wife out). Now I have probably a hundred little ones starting off. they seem to like very high flow areas OR hanging upside down in low flow areas???? Any Ideas? Sorry for no pics.

sounds like a jellyfish is multipling in your tank. but without a pic its hard to say what is going on there.

sounds kinda like a pineapple sponge to me. But without a pic it is impossible to identify.

pineapple sponges dont start out as a glob, nor do they have tenticles at the bottom.
