How can you tell if a plastic container is reef safe?
I want to use a rubbermadeish tub for a sump on a new setup I am envisioning. It will be a small container, im thinking 10 gal tops, which will sit behind a 24X12X24 tank.
I'm just wondering how you can tell if a container is reef-safe for this type of use. I have to be flexible with what kind of container it is, be it a small trashcan or ?? so is there any sure fire way to know if it will be ok? Thanks |

Should be fine a lot of people use the rubbermaid totes as sumps and stuff. I use one to mix water in.

Anything "NSF certified" should be acceptable.

If you see HDPE anywhere on the container, you're safe.
