update with my Kent Salt problem.

sent the Kent Salt threads are all closed, i wanted to update my situation with the problem salt. i got a call from John with Kent last thursday. John said that the sample i sent was in fact bad. he asked me what i was looking for compinsation. i told him all i wanted was my bad bag of salt replaced, and if he wanted to send anything more that would be fine. well i got my package today. a brand new 200 gallon bucket of salt. i just mixed up a 5g bucket of water with the following readings:

SG= 35ppt
Alk= 8.4 dKH
Calc=385ppm
PH= 8.2

am i happy with how they handled my situation? absolutly! its like i told John when i first talked with him all i wanted to do is inform people to test the salt. not to give anyone a bad name, but so people dont kill their animals. will i still use Kent Salt? you bet! by the time i need to buy more salt, there shouldnt be any of the bad salt still around. and i have always been pleased with their salt until the bad batch. so thats my update, and my 2 ¢
