Texas holey rock
Has anybody had experience with using texas holey rock and seeding it with a few pounds of regular live rock? In cichlid tanks it helps buffer the ph to about 8.2 and it is has some very interesting shapes. Id like to hear why I've never seen it done before. Maybe it has, but unfortunatly i cant search for it right now.
Thanks, Brian Jones |

I have some in my tank for the same reason you mentiond, for the shapes. It is not very pourous so I would limit the amount you put in. If you want good base rock get reef bones.
