Ick question....
My sailfin tang had a small case of ich and i decided to let it go and it appeared to disappear.
BUT, then about a week later....I woke up and the ich was all over him worse than ever. My question is how come none of my blue chromis never had a speck of ich on them this whole time?? I'm confused to as why only the sailfin got it... thanks |

It is very possible the green chromis have it. Ich is only visible a short time in its lice cycle, when its ready to drop off into the substrate and reproduce. Its possible that your green chromis are infected in thru the gills.
Its also possible that the chromis' immune systems are much stronger and it is fighting the ich off. Though I wouldnt count on that too much For ich treatment its recommended you remove all your fish and place into a hospital tank for treatment with hypo. Leaving your main display fishless for 6-8 weeks will rid the tank of ich Ich links http://www.petsforum.com/personal/tr...marineich.html http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-08/sp/index.php Hyposalinity treatment http://www.petsforum.com/personal/tr...osalinity.html |

the tangs are more volnurable to disease and should be fed a good food to help increase their immune system. i suggest Spectrum Thera-A Anti-Parasitic Formula.. you can find it here .. http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_...um.asp?CartId=
it did wonders for my tang and ich.. hasnt come back again..
