Dimmers on a Tek T5 Fixture?
Is it possible to use dimmers on this light fixture? Anyone currently doing it? If so, what dimmer?

As far as I know you cannot dim flourescent lighting.

Impur was right, but recently they have discovered a method that allows you to Dim them, it's very new technology. I saw a short story on the Science Channel about the guy who invented the process and is now starting to Mass Market it to many companies, I expect within 6 months to a year they will be readily available. They make dimming T5HO ballasts. They aren't even very expensive. The thing is what I haven't seen is a way to automate the on/off dimming that's reasonably priced. The ballasts are easy enough to hook up though

dimming of vho t12 has been around for atleast 10 years ( according to ice cap)
t5 dimming is still new and there arnt any dimmers for them yet as far as i know. ( that are reliable) |
