is this a good deal?
I found this online.

there have been quite a few 150w metal halide setups going thru the selling forums lately that you could get for much cheaper

Actually, the sale price is pretty good. I would think that the fixture would work fine for a small tank. One with T5 instead of PC would be better, but those are very pricey.
Keep in mind that the bulbs that come with the light may not be the best in town, but you can always replace them in about 6-9 months. |

I have the 36" version of what you're looking at and I find it to be a good overall lighting solution. I wish the 36" came with dual HQI's for better overall distribution, but the single in combo with the PC's is more than adequate, and it looks good too, I put an extra fan in mine. Unless you hang it, with the supplied hardware(nice touch) you'll probably need a chiller. The price isn't bad either.
