Fish stocking ideas for my 120g

Well my cycle has been complete for over a week. I put in my cleaning crew last week. Keep track of my water readings over the week and no change. I added one small yellow tang today. Now I need some ideas for what else to stock.

The wife wants a hippo tang, so I will be adding one in about 4-5 days. What else could I stock in this tank? Ideas please...

Depends a lot on whether you want to keep corals or not. There are lots of really beautiful fish that aren't considered "reef safe" as they nip at or eat corals (eg butterfly fish, angel fish). The other fish that are common in community tanks are clown fish, royal grammas, green chromis, bangai cardinals, fire fish, gobies (this is a wish list for my reef tank!). In fact, the world is your oyster. What fish have you kept in the past in your three years of experience?

i would make a list of what you want before adding more. you dont want to add fish in the wrong order this can be wrost than putting wrong fish together...if that makes sense

Not looking to do corals just FOWLR. My old tank was a 40g so I only kept a clown pair, and a small angel.

Live rock is basically rocks that contain hundreds of organisms to help out with your water chemistry. They are taken directly out of the ocean.

Being such a new system, I'd be cautious about adding too much too soon. Not knowing the dimensions of the tank, I'm not sure the hippo tang is a good choice. My 120 is a 5 ft tank and I won't keep a tang simply due to their spacial needs, but that's me. I think having two surgeon fish is going to push it. The pair of clowns and the angel will be nice. I agree with a wrasse of some sort, as well as the royal gramma, goby and firefish. I think having the yellow tang in first might give you some problems down the road with other additions of the same size.
Personally, I like to have one or two medium sized "centerpiece fish", with several small specimens to give the tank movement and interest.

I gave the "sigh" because if you look at my tank details you will see I have 115 lbs of live rock in the tank already. Thats what I used to cycle my tank.

Now as the hippo tang goes. I have read it should be fine in my 120g. I believe the mods have a Quick link showing tanks sizes for tangs. Also I am not worried about my yellow tang. I just need to move the rock work around when I add something new.

Thanks for all the suggestions...
