I was surprised after seeing a couple of coral experts speak, that they pronounced "acropora" as "a - crop - or - eh" with emphasis on the "crop".
I always said "ac - ro - por- eh" with the emphasis on the "ro" - long o. The most annoying is pronouncing "zo - an - thid" as "zoo - an - thid". There is no ZOO sound in there. Crystal
