Reef safe Butterflies

I read an article in a magazine recently that said Racoons and Copperbands were reef safe. I wanted more info before proceeding with anything.

both will eat feather dusters and small snails. I wouldn't consider them coral safe either... what article said they were? I know some people on the board have good luck with the copperband in a reef though.
