Confused T5 Lighting Question???

I am getting ready to set up my first tank with t5 lighting but am confused on how to set this up my tank dimensions are 36x36x18 should I go with just a tek light fixture complete unit if so how many bulb setup would everyone recommend or shoulc I get multiple units and stagger them thru out the whole tank because of the depth and how many bulbs suggestions would be very helpful
Thanks

Well it all depends on what you want to keep. As I read those dimensions the tank is 18" Deep correct and 36" Wide. If that is the case then you can do a 8X39w fixture or if you have or going to build a canopy 8X39w retro. If you are going to keep LPS run the lamps on a regular T5 ballast if SPS then run them on IC 660 HTH

I would get 39x8 retrofit so you could space them evenly over the tank. You aren't gonna find any fixtures to fit a square tank, the bulbs will be grouped too tightly (for a rectangle).
