fire shrimps safe with cleaner shrimps?

Hi, I recently acquired two cleaners and two fires. The two cleaners I see often, the fires - well, I came home to a carcus of one. The other one, I haven't seen since I put him in the tank 3 days ago.

I suspect the cleaner shrimps have been having a good feast on the fire shrimps?

Are they safe together? Would like to know since I really like the fire shrimp and may get more.

Are you sure the shrimp you saw being eaten wasnt the molt of the shrimp?

There's a crack in the tip of the tail and the shell is broken into tail, mid-body and head with antena and claws there; it has like a covering of bacteria - pretty sure it's a carcus.

I've got one fire shrimp and one skunk cleaner in a 25 gal tank. They both coexist peacefully. The fire shrimp usually stays upside down in a cave but does come out when I put food in the tank and during the night. Try putting some frozen mysis shrimp in the tank when the lights are on to see if you can draw them out of hiding. Both shrimp go nuts when I put this type of food in the tank.

Both types of shrimp molted within the week I put them in the tank. Especially with the fire shrimp, the carcas that was shed was fairly complete. The cleanup crew eventually ate it. I doubt the cleaner shrimp ate the fire shrimp.

I had a cleaner shrimp kill a fire shrimp once, but they were in a 10g, and I didn't know better. Fire shrimp would always act tough, but in the end, the cleaner won. IDK, in general, i think they are safe together as long as there is enough space.

Thanks everyone for their response. I'll try round two and see what happens.

for shrimps that hide a lot, those fires are sure expensive!

Mine get along fine too.

I hardly ever see the fire shrimp. Only during feeding time.

The fire shrimp molts look a lot like a dead shrimp.
