Question Has anyone ever delt with www.saltwaterfish.com

I just stumbled on to this site and I was blown away at their prices and the fact that they offer free shipping on almost all items.

Has anyone else heard of them or had experiences with them?

Thanks,
Bill

I wouldn't buy from a company that claims to have been in business a lot longer then it actually has been.

I have one purchase that consisted of about 5 Salifert Test Kits. THey were the cheaper than local LFS and other mail order companies.

Well I did a site wide search on them here at Reef Central and the majority of the responses were all positive.

Thanks,
Bill

it's free shipping but you have to buy a minimum amount ever since the gas price increase. they are pretty good. i've ordered from the twice, everything arrived perfectly.

I have only heard good things from a fellow reef club member that I know. I have considered ordering- but IF, and that's a big "if", I can find it local and it looks good- I usually buy a fish that I can see.

I haven't DELT with them but I've DEALT with them ;-)

Just kidding... actually I haven't dealt with them yet but I was looking at their cleaner-type critters and they have decent prices on many of them. Their prices seem decent on alot of things. I may try to order something from them in the future , but like others have said I also prefer to hand-pick my fish.

Since I haven't ordered from them I can't really say how good their service is. However I do find it annoying that alot of their stuff isn't in stock ("wish list"). This wouldn't be so bad if there was a way to omit the out of stock items from the price lists with a filter on their web interface. At least they allow you to open links in new tabs now. Their old web page prevented it.

I placed an order with them about 1 year ago. The fish arrived healthy and with the exception of a Flame Angel all are living to this day. The cerith snails I ordered though, were DOA. In fact over 1/2 of the shells were empty when they showed up.

We did one order with them and everything arrived alive and good. I did email them with a question afterwords, but never got a response. So I think if you do have problems, good luck getting them to respond.
