Hi all! my tank is 22g i do 10% water changes weekly. If i made up batch of salt water could this last a month in air tight container, or should it be prepared the night before?

Thanks

It will be fine. I have two 32 gal tubs in my basement with saltwater.

As long as it's air tight, you can keep it as long as you want. I used to do that until I got a larger tank. I now change out 20 gals. at a time. It's a little hard to mix up 80-100 gals and store it monthly.

Ideally you want to mix your water 2 to 3 weeks in advance. Use an airstone during this time for circulation. Then the day before you introduce it to the tank use a heater to match the temperature with your tank.

I usually like to mix SW up 2-3 days in advance, never less then 24 hours. I also do not like to leave it sitting for longer then a month

agree with the above two post, ideally you want to let your new water batch sit a few days before using it.

You should be able to buy water jugs, like the ones they use for spring water at the grocery store. Maybe try a place where you can make your own wine or beer, they might have them or know who you could call.
I mix up a new batch of SW after each water change, that way I have 20g sitting ready any time I need it. I don't store it in an airtight container, I just use a 20g Rubbermaid bin with a powerhead and heater.
