What are some good ways to clean a filter sock?

I turn mine inside out and throw them in the washer with a cup of bleach.

I wash mine in the washing machine with a splash of bleech. I've been doing this for over a year, never had a problem with the bleech.. Get a few of them so you can rotate them.

Nope bleach dissipates quickly. Just put it in the washer with a little bleach and then hang it somewhere for a day or two to air dry. Do not put it in the dryer! It will pick up lint and crap.

Washing machine on gentle cycle, no detergent or bleach; sometimes they need an extra cycle. I used to use the "hose" method too, but that got old real quick!

Bleach gentle wash with extra rinse. Then off to the clothe line for a day or two so the bleach has for sure disipated.

Yes. If you put bleach in you TANK!! 1 cup of bleach with a washing machine full of water is a very mild mixture. The rinse cycle takes a lot away, and the air drying gets rid of the rest.

You probably don't even have to use bleach. I use it more or less to prevent any type of mold or anything from taking hold in my washer.

I wash mine in the washer with no bleach and a double rinse. I really don't care if they are discolored a little bit.

Regards,

Pat
